So, Link, the “adventure cat,” decided to hit up a climb in Colorado with her human pals, and guess what? Night falls and they’re all stuck!

The Rocky Mountain Rescue Group had to step in on April 1. They joked, “Moonlighting as MEOWtain Rescuers!” on social media.

They’re usually all about helping humans, but this time? They got to save a super cute cat and her humans from a tricky spot on the First Flatiron, a hop, skip, and a jump (about 30 miles) from Denver.

So, the rescue team hooks up the climbers with some fancy headlamps and gets them all down safely.

And let me tell you… the internet had a field day.

Latest update from their Insta? Link and her human, Austin, taking on Montezuma Tower at Garden of the Gods (just another day in April 2023 for this dynamic duo).

Someone piped up, “Isn’t this a bit much and kinda risky?” That got Austin talking about how they make sure Link, the cat, stays safe on their climbs.

“She mostly stays in her backpack. I only let her out if we’re on a super steady spot,” they explained. “Plus, I’ve doubled down on safety gear in her backpack and harness, just to be extra sure.”

Austin’s holding onto Link tight whenever she’s out and about, making it clear that “keeping her safe is top of the list.”

They added, “Her well-being is super important to me. I’m all in on making sure she’s safe and sound. And honestly? I wouldn’t be doing any of this if she wasn’t into it.”
